Plate 43　OMMASTREPHIDAE アカイカ科 −Indo-Pacific インド・太平洋(3)／Atlantic 大西洋(1) （図A．太平洋産：B．背側の発光器） 169. トビイカ Sthenoteuthis oualaniensis Lesson, 1830 大きさ 外套長35cm。 特徴 外形スルメイカ型であるが，肉は厚く緊っていて体前方は円筒形。鰭は丸く，幅広の菱形で，後方余り細まらない。外套膜と一方又は両方の漏斗軟骨器が癒着していて簡単にはずれない。漏斗溝には縦溝とポケット状の側襞もある。腕は太く，とくに第�L腕の泳膜は高く三角形状。大吸盤の角質環には三角状の鋭い歯がある。触腕掌部の大吸盤角質環の歯のうち90°ごとの4歯は特大である。外套膜の背側前方寄り皮層下に矩形の発光域があり，とくに生鮮の時は明瞭に認められる。雄の右第�M腕は交接腕に変形している。 Body very muscular. Both or either one of funnel-mantle connectives fused. Oval photogenic patch on the anterior dorsal mantle. Tentacular sucker rings with sharp teeth at every 90° besides smaller teeth. （図A．沖ノ鳥島産；B．交接腕） 170. ヤセトビイカ Ornithoteuthis volatilis (Sasaki, 1915) 別名 トリイカ（岡田　要） 大きさ 外套背長31cm。 特徴 スルメイカ型であるが，外套膜は緊っていて細身。鰭は幅広く菱形，鰭幅の方が長さより大。頭部は外套膜開口よりも太い。外套膜と漏斗をつなぐ漏斗軟骨器には�膜^の溝がある。腕の大吸盤の角質環には10〜14個の鋭い三角形状の歯があるが，基部寄りの縁は平滑である。触腕は割合太く，掌部の吸盤は4列で角質環には18〜21個の鋭い歯が並び，歯間は時々板状に持ち上っていることもある。雄の右�M腕は交接腕で，先端方の吸盤が失われ肉嘴列にかわるだけでなく腕の中央あたりの側面にしわ状の肉畝が刻まれ，14個の穴があいている。直腸上に卵形の大発光器がある。 Mantle very skinny. Fins large. Arm sucker rings with 10-14 sharp teeth. Tentacular sucker rings with 18-21 sharp teeth interposed with low plates. Large oval photophore present on intestine. （図．スリナム沖産） 171. ニセアカイカ Sthenoteuthis pteropus (Steenstrup, 1855) 大きさ 外套長60cm 特徴 外套膜は円筒形で筋肉は厚い。後端急に細くなる。鰭は横長の菱形で鰭頂角は大きい。漏斗軟骨器は�膜^。腕は太く，吸盤の角質環は28〜30個の鋭歯をもつ。腕は泳膜と広い保護膜をもち，何れも第�L腕が顕著。雄の右又は左の第�M腕が交接腕となっている。触腕も太く，掌部には4列の吸盤があって中央列のそれは縁列のものより大きく，この角質環は90°ごとに大鋭歯がありそれらの間にも小さいが鋭い歯がある。外套膜背側の前端寄りに卵円形の発光域があり，新鮮な時は皮膚を通して見える。また腹面には粒状発光器を散らす。 付記 概形はトビイカに似て背部発光器がある。しかし漏斗軟骨は癒着していないばかりではなく、交接腕には11〜13対の吸盤がある（トビイカでは6〜8対）。 Mantle cylindrical,muscular, 60cm in ML with transversely wide, rhombic fins posteriorly. Funnel groove with foveola and lateral pockets. Funnel cartilage ��-shaped. Arms stout, with two rows of suckers of which horny rings with 28−30 sharp teeth. Left or right arm �M in male hectocotylized. Tentacle also strong, with 4 rows of suckers of which mesial ones larger than marginals. Horny rings of large sucker bear sharp teeth among which those at every 90° prominently stronger than the others. Photogenic tissues in an oval patch present on the antero-dorsal mantle. Small granular photogenic tissues scattered in the ventral mantle. This species is separable from S. oualaniensis in having unfused funnel-mantle connective and 11-13 pairs of suckers in hectocotylus (6-8 pairs in S. oualaniensis). （図A．リナム沖産；B．交接腕） 172. アメリカヤセトビイカ Ornithoteuthis antillarum Adam, 1957 大きさ 外套長15cm。 特徴 外套は細く緊っていて，後端著るしく細まり鋭端で終る。鰭は菱形であるが，後縁は著るしい曲線を描く。漏斗溝には縦溝域はあるが，側部ポケットはない。漏斗軟骨器は�膜^。頭部はやゝ大きい。腕の吸盤は2列，角質環には15前後の鋭歯がある。雄の右第�M腕は交接腕で，吸盤はなく側面にしわ状の肉畝が刻まれ14個の小孔があいている。触腕掌部は吸盤4列で，中央2列は縁列のものより大。角質環には20内外の鋭歯があり，歯間は時に板状に立ち上っている。触腕柄部には吸盤はない。外部発光組織はないが墨汁嚢と直腸上に各1計2発光器をもつ。 Mantle slender conico-cylindrical, muscular, 15cm ML, with attenuated posterior end. Fins sagittate with a concave posterior margin. Funnel groove with foveola only. Funnel cartilage inverted T-shaped. Arms with biserial suckers. Horny rings of them with 15 sharp teeth. Right arm ・ of male hectocotylized by presenting fleshy wrinkles and a row of pores. Tentacular club with 4 rows of suckers of which mesial ones larger than the marginals. Horny rings with some 20 sharp teeth interposed by plate-like projections in between. A photophore on the ink-sac and one on the intestine.
