Plate 41　OMMASTREPHIDAE アカイカ科 −Indo-Pacific インド・太平洋(1) （図A．東シナ海産；B．交接腕） 161. スルメイカ Todarodes pacificus Steenstrup, 1880 市場名 マイカ，マツイカ，ムギイカ，トンキュウ，ガンゼキ（地方名）。 大きさ 外套長30cm。 特徴 わが国で最も普通のイカ。ヤリイカ類と異なる所は眼が開眼型のことと漏斗軟骨器が�膜^である所である（アカイカ科に共通の特徴）。外套膜の背中線上に暗色の縦帯がある。鰭は幅広の菱形である。漏斗溝には縦溝があるが，側部のポケット様襞はない。腕の大吸盤角質環には鋭い歯がある。基部寄りの縁は平滑。雄の右第�M腕の先端部はやや偏圧され櫛歯状の肉嘴列があるが短く識別しにくい。触腕の大吸盤には鋭い円錐形の歯と低い板状の歯とが交互に並んでいる。 付記 日本の周辺には3季節群が認められ，太平洋側では東シナ海で発生し，本州南岸〜三陸〜道東に分布する冬生れ群が主体で，日本海側では九州西方で発生した大和堆を中心に沖合分布する秋生れ群が主な漁獲対象群である。このほか太平洋側には紀伊〜常磐に分布するローカル群があり，日本海側には隠岐〜能登に夏生れの小群がある。 Japanese common squid: Body moderately slender with sagittate fins. Funnel groove with foveola only. Arm sucker rings with sharp teeth gradually diminishing size towards smooth proximal rim. Tentacular sucker ring with sharp teeth alternating with low plates. Hectocotylization affects distal portion of right Arm �M, consisting of depressed fleshy papillae. The population is composed of three seasonal broods. （図A. ニュージーランド産；B. 交接腕） 162. ニュージーランドスルメイカ Nototodarus sloanii (Gray, 1849) 別名 ミナミスルメイカ，ニュージーマツイカ。 大きさ 外套長40cm，1kg。 特徴 外形日本のスルメイカによく似ていて，背中線に暗色帯がある。鰭は外套長の42〜48％。漏斗溝に縦溝があり，漏斗軟骨器は�膜^。腕の大吸盤の角質環には11〜14歯があり，中央の1歯が他よりも大きい。触腕の吸盤列は4列で大吸盤の角質環には14〜15個の同大の鋭歯がある。雄の左右�M腕は交接腕に変形。左腕は基部のみ鋸歯状肉質突起となっているが，右腕は先端部に肉嘴列がある。 Resembles preceding species. Fins 42-48% ML. Funnel groove with foveola. Arm sucker ring with 11-14 teeth of which the central one largest of all. Tentacular sucker rings with 14-15 teeth of equal size. Both �M Arms in male modified. （図A．タスマニア産；B．交接�M腕） 163. オーストラリアスルメイカ Nototodarus gouldi (McCoy, 1888) 大きさ 外套長40cm。 特徴 前種に一見酷似し、分布も一部で重っているが、（1）第�J腕吸盤列51以下（前種60以上）、（2）交接腕化した右�M腕先端部は肉嘴列に向かい合う保護膜も膨大する（前種では肉嘴列のみ顕著）。（3）左右�M腕基部寄りの肉質隆起は4〜6個（前種では9〜10個）の諸点で異る。 This is very close to N. sloanii with which distribution partially overlaps, but differs therefrom in having: (1) less than 51 pairs of suckers in arm �J (versus more than 60 pairs), (2) expanded protective membrane opposite dorsal fleshy papillae of right arm �M (vesus only papillae pronounced), and (3) 4-6 fleshy tubercles on proximal arm �M (versus 9-10 in N. sloanii). （図A．徳島県沖産；B．交接腕と左第�M腕） 164. アブライカ （フイリッピンスルメイカ） Nototodarus hawaiiensis (Berry, 1912) 大きさ 外套長30cm。 特徴 外形スルメイカとそっくりで，外套背中線上に暗色帯があり、表面は粗造。漏斗溝には縦溝がある。腕部は太く，大吸盤の角質環には約20の歯があり，中央の1歯は特に大きく鋭くむしろ鉤状。雄の左右�M腕は交接腕に変形していて，左腕の基部は背側には鋸歯状の肉質隆起があるのみであるが，右腕は先端部の保護膜が櫛の歯状の肉嘴列になっている。触腕の吸盤は4列で，中央の12個は縁列のものの3〜4倍である。角質環には14〜18の歯があり，そのうち1歯は大きい。 Typical todaronin in shape and color with rough skin, 30 cm ML. Funnel groove with foveola only. Arms robust, sucker ring with about 20 teeth of which mesial one strong. Arm �M of male hectocotylized. Left arm �M with fleshy tubercles proximally. Right arm with papilla-like expanded protective membrane ventrally, and a double row of fleshy papillae dorsally. Tentacle club with 4 rows of suckers, mesial 12 suckers 3-4 times larger than marginal ones. Chtinous ring with 14-18 sharp rteeth.
