Plate 40　HISTIOTEUTHIDAE ゴマフイカ科 （図．カリフォルニア海流域産） 157. カリフォルニアシラタマイカ＊ Histioteuthis heteropsis (Berry, 1913) 大きさ 外套長13cm 特徴 外套膜は吊鐘型であるがやや前方に延び両側は平行的である。鰭は丸く、幅は外套長より僅かに大。腹面は外套縁で凡そ40〜45個の発光器列に平行に10数列の発光器が密に並ぶが後方は乱れる。頭部にも密に分布し右眼の周囲には19〜20個、第�M腕は基部で8〜9列の発光器がある。背側の発光器は粗。触腕吸盤は7〜8列で、中央のものがやゝ大きい。 Mantle bell-shaped, 13cm ML, ornamented with numerous photophores ventrally. They arranged in nearly transversely parallell to 40-45 organs along mantle free margin, but diffused posteriorly. Ventral head with numerous photophores, about 19-20 on orbit of right eye. 8-9 rows of photophores arranged on basal arm �M. Dorsal photophores sparse. Tentacle manus with 7-8 suckers of which several mesial ones slightly enlarged. （図．インド洋西部産） 158. ウスベニゴマフイカ Histioteuthis celataria pacifica (Voss, 1962) 大きさ 外套長9cm 特徴 外套膜はやゝ長い吊鐘型。発光器は7斜列。鰭は丸く、幅は外套長の70％、後部は僅かに連続する。頭部も斜めに発光器が並び、右眼瞼には17個ある。第�M腕基部は3列からなり真中の列のみ先端まで達する。触腕には6〜7列の吸盤があり、中央の3〜4列は大きく、28〜32個の鋭い歯がある。 付記 本種は大西洋産のH. celataria celataria (Voss, 1960)とは眼の腹側に発光器を欠く“窓”が無い点で異なる。 Mantle elongate bell-shaped, 9 cm ML, with 7 diagonal rows of photophores. Fins oval, FWI 70, with posterior margin slightly overreaching tip of mantle. Head with diagonally arranged photophores ventrally. 3 rows on basal arm �M. Tentacle club with 6-7 rows of suckers, of which mesial 3-4 enlarged and with 28-32 sharply pointed teeth. This subspecies is separable from Atlantic H. celataria celataria in lack of photophore-free “windows" on ventral head. （図A, B．西太平洋産） 159. コロナゴマフイカ＊ Histioteuthis corona corona (Voss & Voss, 1962) 大きさ 外套長5cm。 特徴 外套膜は短かく吊鐘状。鰭は丸味があり後縁は連続している。外套膜は平滑で発光器がある。外套膜上の発光器は8斜列で大きさは単一。頭部の右眼瞼上の発光器は17個，左眼瞼上には7〜8個。第�M腕基部発光器は3列である。触腕掌部の吸盤角質環は33〜35個で三角状である。 Mantle short, bell-shaped, 5cm ML. Fins oval and continuous with both lobes on posterior margin. Suface smooth and dark purplish in color. Head large, with asymmetrical eyes (left larger than the right). Photophores on the mantle uniform in size, arranged in 8 diagonal rows. Photophores on left eye-lid 17, those on the right 7-8 in number. Photophores on proximal ventral arm in 3 rows. Arms with biserial suckers. Tentacular sucker rings with 33-35 sharp teeth. This species is separable from H. reversa, in having uniformal mantle photophores (reversa has two types of photophores) and different number of photophores on eye-lid (in reversa 18 on the left eye-lid and 7 large and 10-14 small light organs on the right). （図A．スリナム沖産；B．南東太平洋産） 160. シラタマイカ Histioteuthis meleagroteuthis (Chun, 1910) 大きさ 外套長8cm。 特徴 外套膜は短かい吊鐘型で，発光器が極めて密に分布し横列約24〜27個。また背中線上に軟骨質の鋸歯状隆起がある。頭部は大きく外套開口より大，左眼は右眼より著るしく大きく左右不相称となっている。頭部腹面にも発光器が密に分布している。右眼の眼瞼周囲には19〜21個の発光器がある。腕はやや長く，第�M腕を除いて反口側には軟骨鋸歯がある。第�M腕の発光器は8〜9列。触腕掌部には6〜7列の吸盤があり，角質環に25〜30の小歯がある。 付記 本種のように発光器が特に多い種にH. heteropsisがあるが，軟骨様突起を持たないので直ちに識別し得る。 Mantle short, bell-shaped, 8 cm ML, ornamented by photophores arranged in 24-27 transverse rows, and with cartilaginous ridge running along the mid-dorsum. Head large with asymmetrical eyes. Some 19-21 photophores present on the right eye-lid. Arms long, with cartilaginous ridge on aboral sides except for ventral arm. Photophores on arm �M in 8-9 rows. Tentacular club with 6-7 rows of suckers of which horny rings bear 25-30 small teeth. The crowdness of photophores is in common with H. heteropsis, but possession of cartilaginous ridges on the mantle and arms are charactersitic.
