Plate 39　HISTIOTEUTHIDAE ゴマフイカ科 （図．大西洋産） 153. モスソクラゲイカ＊ Histioteuthis bonnellii (Ferussac, 1835) 大きさ 外套長30cm 特徴 外套膜は短い円錐型で、鰭は丸い。外套膜腹面は斜めに7条の発光器列がある。頭部は大きく左右不相称。やはり斜に発光器が並び、各腕の基部は発光器が3列ある。第�M腕の間を除いて傘膜は広くスカート状。各腕の先端に黒い発光器をもつ。触腕掌部中央の吸盤数個がやゝ大きい。 Mantle short conical with oval fins. Ventral mantle ornamented with 7 diagonal rows of photophores. Head large, asymmetrical, also with diagonal rows of photophores. On base of all arms 3 rows of photophores present. Web broad, skirt-like, except for between arm �M's. Black light organs present on tip or all arms. Several mesial suckers of manus enlarged. （図A, B．スリナム沖産） 154. クラゲイカ Histioteuthis dofleini (Pfeffer, 1912) 大きさ 外套長20cm。 特徴 外套膜は全体に比し小さく吊鐘状。一面に微細な小乳頭状突起でおおわれ，腹側には数列の発光器がある。鰭は丸く後縁は連続する。頭部は著るしく大きく，外套口より幅広い。外套膜上同様小乳頭状突起に覆われ，発光器もある。左眼が右眼に比し大きく不相稱。眼のまわりの発光器の数と配列も左右で異なっている。足は太く長く反口側に発光器があり，特に第�M腕には3つの明瞭な列をなしている。触腕は細く長く掌部に4列の吸盤がある。雄の第�J腕が特に長大化する。 付記 本種は体表が乳頭状突起で覆われ，粗造である点他種と識別出来る。北西太平洋でもマッコウクジラに多量に食べられている。 Mantle 20cm in length, short, bell-shaped. Fins small and oval, connected with each other in the posterior margin. Head very large with left eye larger than the right one. Tentacles long, with 4 series of suckers on the club. The dorsal arms of male modified and prolonged with fleshy knobs. Mantle and head-arm portions all covered by small papillae presenting a rough surface. Ventral surface of the same with regularly arranged photophores. Three diagonal rows of photophores on the ventral arms are characteristic. This speecies is readily separable from other members of the genus in having papillated surface of the body. This is very abundant in stomach contents of toothed whales. （図A．スリナム産；B．北東大西洋産） 155. アメリカクラゲイカ Histioteuthis reversa (Verrill, 1880) 大きさ 外套長10cm。 特徴 外套膜は短かく吊鐘状。外套膜は柔軟で平滑，発光器が多数並び大きいものは約7列。鰭は丸みがあって，後縁で連絡する。頭部は大きく，左眼が右眼より大きく不相称。腕は長く細まる。吸盤の角質環は殆ど歯がない。頭部腹面から腕にかけて発光器が密に分布し，第�M腕は基部4列，先端方2列の縦列となる。触腕は長く，掌部には5列の吸盤があり，吸盤角質環には側面がまっすぐの鋭歯又は鈍歯がある。 Mantle 10 cm in length, short, bell-shaped. Surface smooth. Fins small oval, and terminal. Head large, with asymmetrical eyes. Arms long, of which suckers bear smooth rings. Tentacles long, with 5 rows of suckers on the club. Tentacular sucker ring with straight-sided sharp teeth. Ventral body covered by numerous photophores. On ventral arms, 4 rows of photophores proximally become 2 rows distally. （図．土佐湾産） 156. ゴマフイカ Histioteuthis corona inermis (Taki, 1964) 大きさ 外套長6cm 特徴 外套膜は吊鐘型で、腹面には6〜7列の発光器が斜に並ぶ。鰭は丸く、後縁は辛うじて外套膜後端で終る。頭部は不相称で、腹面には5〜6列の発光器列がある。右眼瞼には16個、左眼瞼には14個、第�M腕には3列の発光器がある。触腕掌部の中央吸盤は縁列のものより大きく、角質環には20〜22の円錐歯をもつ。 Mantle bell-shaped, 6cm ML, with 6-7 oblique rows of photophores. Fins oval, with posterior margin fused together leaving a narrow lobe behind posterior end of mantle. Head asymmetrical, with 5-6 oblique rows of photophores. On orbit of right eye, 16 photophores present and left eye 14. 3 rows of phtophores arranged on aboral side of arm �M. Mesial manus suckers larger than marginal ones in tentacle. Sucker rings of them with 20-22 conical teeth.
