Plate 38 PHOLIDOTEUTHIDAE ヤワライカ科／BATHYTEUTHIDAE ナツメイカ科／ CTENOPTERYGIIDAE ヒレギレイカ科 （図．アンゴラ沖産） 149. ミナミヤワライカ Pholidoteuthis boschmai Adam, 1950 大きさ 外套長60cm。 特徴 体は細長く，外套膜は柔かいが，あたかも小鱗で覆われたかの如き彫刻がある。鰭は菱形で，この部分には色素がなく白い。鰭長は外套長の凡そ1/2〜1/3。腕は筋肉質で，ほぼ等長，腕の吸盤の角質環には18個の鋭歯がある。触腕の吸盤角質環は左右から圧迫された楕円形で，鈍歯がある。 Mantle soft with scale-like sculpture. Fins 1/2〜1/3 ML. Arms rather stout and sucker rings with 18 sharp teeth. Tentacular suckers compressed laterally and rings with blunt teeth. （図．スリナム沖産） 150. ヤワラカイカ Pholidoteuthis adami Voss, 1956 大きさ 外套長50cm。 特徴 体は細長く，外套膜は柔かく寧ろ寒天質。鰭は縦長の菱形で外套長の3/4〜4/5に及ぶ。腕は長く，大吸盤には鋭い三角形状の歯があるが，基部寄りの縁は平滑。触腕は長く掌部も細長い。吸盤4列，左右から半分に折り畳まれるため，両側に2〜4本ずつ集った歯列群が4つほどあり，他の部分は小乳頭状突起でおおわれている。外套膜はあたかも五角形の小鱗で被われたようで，そこには紫褐色の色素があるが，鰭には色素胞を欠く。 付記 同属の他の1種ミナミヤワライカP. boschmaiは鰭が小さく（外套長の1/2〜1/3），腕は筋肉質で等長，吸盤角質環には18個の鋭歯がある点で異なる。 Mantle cylindrical, flabby, 50cm in length. Fins sagittate, 3/4〜4/5 as long as ML. Arms long with 2 rows of suckers of which horny rings with sharp triangular teeth distally and smooth rim proximally. Tentacle also long with elongated club. Suckers with four groups of 2-4 teeth on both hemispheres. Other portion covered by small papillae. Mantle covered by pentagonal scales on which pigmentation deposits, but fins lack of both scales and pigments. P. boschmai has smaller fin (1/2〜1/3 of ML), subequal arms, and 18 sharp teeth on arm sucker rings. （図A．インド洋産；B．スリナム沖産） 151. ナツメイカ Bathyteuthis abyssicola Hoyle, 1885 大きさ 外套長5cm。 特徴 外套膜は円筒形で，後端鈍く終る。鰭は丸く小さく互に離れている。頭部は大きく，眼は前方を向いているため，眼瞼は頭部側面より離れた所に開口している。漏斗は大きい。腕は短く吸盤は基部寄り2列に並ぶが，先端寄りは4列となる。時に特大吸盤を持つ。触腕は細く，掌部は殆ど拡がらず，凡そ10列の微小吸盤があり，その角質環には微小歯がある。体色は全身的に紫褐色が濃いが，眼の後などは淡い。腕は先端特に濃いのに比し，触腕には殆ど色素を欠く。�J〜�L腕基部に発光器がある。 Mantle cylindrical with blunt end, 5cm ML. Fins small, oval, separated from each other. Head large, with forwardly directed eyes. Arms short, with biserial suckers proximally but become quadriserial distally. Tentacles weak, club barely expanded with some 10 rows of minute suckers of which horny rings bear minute teeth. Body deep purplish brown, darkened on distal arms. Photophores present on bases of arms �J−�L. （図A．南シナ産；B．カリフォルニア海流域産） 152. ヒレギレイカ Ctenopteryx siculus (Verany, 1851) 大きさ 外套長4cm。 特徴 外套膜は背腹にやゝ扁圧された袋形でコウイカ類を思わせる。鰭は外套膜の側縁全体に亘るが，多数の支持肉柱とその間の膜に分かれ，極めて特異な外観である。幼稚期は鰭は後位にしかないがやはり多数の肉質支柱がある。腕はむしろ短かく，吸盤は2列，先端4列になる。触腕は泳膜はなく8列の吸盤をもつ。内臓上に大型の1発光器をもつ。 Mantle dome-shaped, slightly compressed dorso-ventrally, 4cm ML. Fins extend to entire length of laeral mantle, consisted of many fleshy supports between which thin membrane present. Arms rather short, with 2 rows of suckers but change into 4 rows distally. Tentacular club with 8 rows of suckers. A large light organ lies in pallial cavity.
