Plate 24　LOLIGINIDAE ヤリイカ科−East Atlantic 東大西洋(2)／ ENOPLOTEUTHIDAE ホタルイカモドキ科−Atlantic 大西洋 （図A, B．地中海産） 93．トガリイカ Alloteuthis media (Linnaeus, 1758) 大きさ 外套長12cm。 特徴 小型のヤリイカ類であるが，外套膜は著しく細長く，特に雄の後端は細まる。鰭は丸味のある縦長の菱形ないし心臓形。腕吸盤は大きく，角質環歯は方形。触腕4列の吸盤のうち中央2列は縁列のものより大きいが，背側列のものの方が，腹側列のものよりも常に大きい。 生態 地中海沿岸ではヨーロッパヤリイカLoligo vulgarisの幼若体と混獲される。冬期は水深150〜200mのところにいるが，3〜5月には60〜80mの所に近寄る。 付記 外套膜が極めて細長くなる本属にはヨーロッパ沿岸には他の１種ホソトガリイカAlloteuthis subulata がすむ。外套長はいずれも雄で10cmを超えるが外套長の半分以上は鰭から後部に延長する尾部の部分で実際の肉量は少ない。又，フィリピン〜インドネシア海域には同様に細長いオナガジンドウイカ Uroteuthis bartschi が分布する。 Small and slender loliginid with prolonged tail. Fins elongate rhombic to heart-shaped. Arm sucker large with chitinous rings which carry square teeth. Club with 4 series of which mesial two rows larger than marginal ones. Lives 150-200m deep in winter but comes up to 60-80m in March-May. （図A．アフリカ北西岸産；B, C．アンゴラ産） 94．アフリカトガリイカ＊ Alloteuthis africana Adam, 1950 大きさ 外套長，19cm（♂），9cm（♀）。 特徴 細身のヤリイカ型で，外套膜は後方著しく延び，特に雄では顕著な尾部になっている。腕の大吸盤の角質環の先端縁には板状の四角い歯が6〜10枚ならび，触腕大吸盤角質環は同大の鈍歯が20〜30個ある。鰭は丸味のあるハート型。地中海から大西洋にかけて分布するホソトガリイカA. subulata と極めて良く似ているが，体比率がいくらか異り，又分布は重り合わない。 付記 体は細長く肉量は少ないと思われるが，かなり大量に漁れるとの情報もある。 Male with very prolonged tail attaining 19cm ML. Fins heart-shaped. Arm sucker ring with 6-10 square teeth on distal margin. Club sucker ring with 20-30 blunt teeth of equal size. Allopatric with A. subulata. （図A．カリブ海産；B．交接腕；C．触腕） 95．モトホタルイカモドキ＊ Enoploteuthis leptura (Leach, 1817) 大きさ 外套長8cm 特徴 外套膜は円錐状で後部は短い尾部となる。腹側には7列の明瞭な発光器列がある。眼球の発光器は9個で、両端の2個は大きく僅かに離れる。各腕には2列の鉤があり、先端は吸盤に替る。腕反口面は微顆粒がある。右�M腕は交接腕で先端寄りに半月膜が1枚ある。触腕は弱く、背腹2列の鉤はほぼ同大で、固着器は細長く、先端吸盤は2列。 ML 8cm, conic, with short tail behind. Seven rows of photophore present on ventral mantle. Photophores of eyeball 9 in number and terminal ones slightly larger than others and situated a little apart from each other. Arms with double rows of hooks which are replaced by minute suckers distally. Oral surface of arms papillated. Right arm �M of male hectocotylized with a single lunate flap near distal end. Tentacle very weak, with double row of hooks of same size, elongated fixing appratus and a double rows of dactylus suckers. （図A, B；スリナム沖産；C．交接腕；D．触腕） 96．タイセイヨウホタルイカ Abralia (Asteroteuthis) veranyi (Ruppell, 1844) 大きさ 外套長3. 5cm。 特徴 ホタルイカに似た小型種。外套膜は円錐形で鰭は菱形。腕には吸盤2列あり，基部の方は鉤に変形している腕があるが先端は4列の微小吸盤となる。左第�M腕は交接腕化し，先端吸盤はなく1対の肉質隆起がある。触腕には4本の鉤があり、背側先端方には泳膜がある。外套膜の腹面は発光器におおわれ、さらに頭部、腕にも及ぶ。眼球の発光器は5個で，両端の2個は中の3個より著るしく大きく白い。 Mantle conical, 3. 5cm long, with sagittate fins posteriorly. Arms with 2 rows of suckers of which several proximal ones may change into hooks and become 4 rows of minute suckers distally. Left ventral arm in male hectocotylized, with a pair of fleshy flaps near distal tip. Tentacular club bears 4 hooks and dorsal membrane. Ventral surfaces of mantle, head and arms are scattered by small photophores. Eye ball with 5 photphores of which terminal two prominently larger than mesial three.
