Plate 22　LOLIGINIDAE ヤリイカ科(ジンドウイカ科) −Americas アメリカ沿岸(3) （図A．パタゴニア産；B．交接腕） 85．ブラジルヤリイカ Loligo sanpaulensis Brakoniecki, 1984 特徴 外套膜はむしろ太短かい。鰭は菱形で，長さは外套長の57〜60％。腕の吸盤は2列で，角質環には5本前後の板状歯があるが，基部側の半周は平滑。雄の左第�M腕は交接腕となり，腕の先端部約1/3〜1/4には1列の小吸盤が密に並ぶが，吸盤基部が肥大しない。触腕には4列の大吸盤があり，中央の2列が縁列吸盤より大きい。大吸盤の角質環歯数は17〜27本で，先端は尖り，歯間はやや離れている。体色はむしろ淡く，赤味を帯びる。本種は，アルゼンチン水域に分布する他の一種 L. gahiとは，鰭の相対的な長さと幅，触腕の長さ，掌部の大きさと吸盤角質環の形状などによって区別される。 付記 ブラジル，ウルグアイおよびアルゼンチン沿岸に分布し，（42°S付近）が南限とされているが，それ以南でも希に採集されることがある。 Mantle rather squat. Distributed along the coasts of Brasil, Uruguay and Argentine down to 42°S. （図A, B．パタゴニア産；C．交接腕） 86．パタゴニアヤリイカ Loligo gahi Orbigny, 1835 大きさ 外套長33cm。 特徴 体はむしろ細長く，雄の大型個体は特に細長い。鰭は菱形で長さは外套長の50〜53％。各腕の吸盤の角質環には5〜9本の板状歯があるが，基部側の半周は平滑。雄の左第�M腕は交接腕となり，先端部1/3〜1/4の吸盤柄部は肥大して2列のうね状に並び，背側列の吸盤は縮小するか又は欠く。触腕の吸盤は4列で，中央の2列は大きいが，縁列の2列のものは小さい。最大吸盤の角質環には32〜38本の鈍い小歯が基部を接して並ぶ。 付記 ペルー，チリーおよびアルゼンチンのパタゴニア沿岸の、45°S付近が北限で，陸棚上に広く分布するが分布の中心は太平洋側にあり，マゼラン海峡を通って大西洋側に分布域を拡げている。L. patagonicaおよび L. ellipsuraは異名。 Mantle conico-cylindrical, partincularly elongated in male. L.patagonica and L.ellipsura are synonyms. （図．カリブ海産） 87．カリビアジンドウイカ Loligo ocula Cohen, 1976 大きさ 外套長13cm。 特徴 中型のヤリイカ型。体形はずんぐりしていてる。最も特徴的なことは眼が非常に大きく，外套長の15〜21％に達する。鰭は菱形で，長さも幅も外套長の約1/2。第�L腕の吸盤角質環は外側にのみ9〜11枚の板状歯がある。通常中央の2歯はその両側の2歯より小さく，又それらの外側は再び小さくなる。雄の左第�M腕が交接腕となっているが変形部は腕の中程だけで，先端まで及んでいない。触腕は比較的太く，掌部吸盤の角質環には24〜30本の鋭歯がある。 付記 アメリカケンサキイカL. pealeiと比べると，本種の方が眼が大きいこと及び交接腕の変形吸盤の柄が本種では広い三角形であるのに対し，アメリカケンサキイカのそれは極めて幅狭い。また本種の方がはるかに小型。 Small loliginid with extremely large eye(15-20％ ML). Both FL and FW about half of ML. Arm sucker rings with 9-11 plate-like teeth in only distal half. Male left arm �M hectocotylized with modification affects only in the middle of arm but not affected distally unlike in other loliginids. Tentacle sucker ring with 24-30 sharp teeth. （図．メキシコ湾産） 88．フクロジンドウイカ Lolliguncula brevis (Blainville, 1823) 大きさ 外套長8cm。（♂），12cm（♀）。 特徴 小型のジンドウイカ型であるが，鰭が丸く，菱形とならない。腕は短く雄左�M腕が交接腕。腕大吸盤角質環は前縁にのみ幅広い鈍歯があり，触腕大吸盤は4列でその角質環歯は小鋭歯がある。 生態 岸辺近くに極めて普通のイカで最も低い塩分を好み17　 の低塩分に耐える。産卵は周年行われ，雄3〜5cm，雌6〜9cmで成熟。トロールで混獲される。パナマ運河を挟んで太平洋側にはパナマフクロジンドウイカ L. panamensis が分布しているが形態上非常に似ているところから，本種がパナマ運河を通じて拡散したものではないかとも思われる。 Brief squid or thumbstall squid: Fins round, wider than long，arms short.
