69．ジンドウイカ Loliolus (Nipponololigo) japonica (Hoyle, 1885)
市場名	コイカ、ヒイカ、ボウズイカ（地方名）。
大きさ	外套長12cm。
特徴	小型で短いヤリイカ型。腕のうち、第Ⅱ、第Ⅲ腕が特に太く且つ吸盤も大きい。腕の中央付近の大吸盤の角質環の歯は低い半円形でⅠ、Ⅳ腕では3～6枚、Ⅱ、Ⅲ腕では9～11枚、又、触腕の吸盤は4列で、中央付近の大吸盤の角質環歯は同様に半円形で18～23個あるのが特徴（但し端の方のそれには鋭歯がある）。雄の左第Ⅳ腕は交接腕で先端寄りの2/3は吸盤欠き肉嘴列が保護膜で癒着し合って柵状となっている。発光器をもたない。
生態	沿岸性で各地の定置網、小型底曳網等で春～夏にかけてかなり漁られる。同時期は産卵期にあたり、内湾の水深1～10mくらいの所に産卵する。
Small loliginid attaining 12 cm ML. Suckers of arms Ⅱ and Ⅲ very large. Arm sucker ring with 9-11 (arms Ⅱand Ⅲ) lunate teeth. Tentacular sucker ring with 18-23 lunate teeth. Left arm Ⅳ of male hectocotylized by lacking suckers in distal two-thirds replaced by palisade-like row of fleshy papillae. Without luminous organ. Commonly caught with seines and set-net.

70．ウイジンドウイカ Loliolus (Nipponololigo) uyii (Wakiya & Ishikawa, 1921)
市場名	コイカ（混称）。
大きさ	外套長10cm。
特徴	小型で短いヤリイカ型。大きい特徴は触腕の大吸盤に歯がない点である。第Ⅲ腕最大吸盤の角質環歯は長さより幅が広く3～6枚である。
付記	従来タゴジンドウイカLoligo tagoi Sasaki及びゴトウジンドウイカLoigo gotoi Sasakiと呼ばれていた2種は本種と同種（異名）。ヒメジンドウイカLoliolus sumatrensisに全形が似ているばかりでなく、触腕掌部の大吸盤に歯がない点でも共通しているが、本種では第Ⅲ腕最大吸盤の角質環歯は長さより幅が広い点（ヒメジンドウイカでは歯の幅と長さがほぼ等しく5～10枚）で区別される。南西日本で、船曳網、底曳等で雑魚と共に漁獲され、利用される程度である。ホンコンでも同様。
Small and short loliginid attaining 10 cm ML. Resembles L. sumatrensis in having smooth rings on tentacular club. But differs from it in having 3-6 teeth, wider than high, in arm Ⅲ sucker rings, while L. sumatrensis with 6-9 teeth, height and width equal. Incidentally caught with other neritic squids and finfish. Loligo tagoi and L. gotoi are synonyms.

71．ベイカ Loliolus (Nipponololigo) beka (Sasaki, 1929)
市場名	ベカ。
大きさ	外套長66m（♂）、87mm（♀）。
特徴	外套幅は長さの23～32％。鰭は少し丸みを帯びる。腕吸盤は雄の方が大きい。角質環の歯は四角く、下縁中央のものは環全周の1/2～1/3を占め、上～側縁には2～6枚の歯がある。雄の左第Ⅳ腕は交接腕化し、先端2/3に柵状の肉質隆起となる。触腕の大吸盤角質環には18～30本の鋭歯がある。
生態	わが国では有明海・八代海・岡山県付近のみに生息し内湾的環境を好む種である。
Small loliginid attaining 66 mm (♂) and 87 mm (♀) ML. MW 23-32% ML. Fins somewhat roundish. Arm suckers larger in male than female. Teeth of are chitinous ring squarish, especially the proximalmost one extends 1/2 to 1/3 of entire circumference, with 2-6 more teeth laterally and distally. Arm Ⅳ of male hectocotyized with palisade-like fleshy papillae in distal two-thirds. Tentacle club sucker with 18-30 sharp teeth. This is an embayment-oriented species among related squids. The occurrence of this species within Japan is limited only to Ariake Sea, Yatsushiro Sea and off Okayama Prefecture in the Inland Sea.

72．ヒメジンドウイカ Loliolus (Nipponololigo) sumatrensis (Orbigny, 1835)
市場名	コイカ（地方名）。
大きさ	外套長10cm。
特徴	ジンドウイカL. japonicaとそっくりであるが、やや細身で体色が赤みがかっている。第Ⅱ・Ⅲ腕の中央付近の大吸盤の角質環の基部寄り1/2～3/4は広い一枚の板で、先端寄りの歯は、長さと幅は等しく6～9枚、又触腕の吸盤は4列で中央付近の3～4対の吸盤が特大で角質環歯が全くないのが特徴。
付記	触腕大吸盤角質環に歯がない種は少なく、日本には他に1種ウイジンドウイカL. uyiiがあるが、この方は腕吸盤角質環歯が横長で3～6枚なので区別される。従来用いられていたLoligo kobiensis HoyleやヨコヤジンドウイカL. yokoyae Ishikawaは本種の異名。タイ湾などは大量に漁れる。
Resembles L. japonica but gives an impression of thinner body. Sucker rings of the arms Ⅱ and Ⅲ with broad long plate proximally and 6-9 square teeth distally. Central suckers of tentacular club with smooth rings. Loligo kobiensis Hoyle and L. yokoyae Ishikawa are synonyms. Abundantly caught in the Gulf of Thailand.
