Plate 15　SEPIOLIDAE ダンゴイカ科−Atlantic 大西洋(2) （図A, B．グリーンランド産） 57．ホッキョクボウズイカ＊ Rossia (Rossia) moelleri Steenstrup, 1856 大きさ 外套長5.2cm。 特徴 外套膜は袋状、鰭は丸くて大きい。腕吸盤は2列であるが先端へ向い4列になる。雄�J腕は交接腕化し吸盤柄が肥厚し、吸盤が縮小する。触腕吸盤は基方寄り背列のものは大きく、先端に向うほど小さくなる。中央部は4列であるが、先端部は6列である。 生態 グリーンランドからスピッツベルゲンなどの北半球の高緯度にすみ、ノルウェーや白海には分布しない。 Bobtail squid of 52mm ML. Fins oval and large. Arm suckers biserial proximally but become quadreiserial distally. Tentacle club with large suckers on dorsal rows among 4 manal rows that become 6 rows in dactylus. Male arm �J hectocotylized with swollen sucker pedicels and disminshing suckers. It is a High Arctic species distributed in Greenland to Spitzbergen but dose not occur in Norwegian coast and White Sea. （図A, B．スリナム沖産） 58．タイセイヨウボウズイカ Semirossia tenera (Verrill, 1880) 大きさ 外套長3. 5cm。 特徴 外套膜は丸く袋状で，幅は長さの3/4ぐらい。外套膜背前端は僅かに突出する。鰭は丸く耳状。腕は中庸に長く，雄では腕中央部の吸盤は大きく，先端へ向って急に縮小する。左の第�J腕が交接腕化し，基部寄り7対の吸盤は正常で，続く4対は縮小する。腕基部寄り腹側に膜がある。触腕掌部反口側には泳膜があり，吸盤は6〜7列並び，その背側列の吸盤は他の列の吸盤の2〜3倍となる。体色は比較的淡い。 Mantle 3. 5cm long, short, saccular, about 3/4 as wide as long. Fins oval, laterally placed. Arm moderately long, with enlarged suckers in the middle in male. Left arm �J in male hectocotylized, with 7 pairs of normal suckers proximally followed by 4 pairs of suckers of reduced size. A broad lateral membrane present ventrally and proximally. Tentacular club with aboral swimming keel, with 6-7 rows of suckers of which dorsal ones twice larger than the others. Color pale. This is a wide ranged species in the southeast coast of North America, characterized by its small size and soft body. （図A, B．スリナム沖産） 59．メキシコボウズイカ Semirossia equalis Voss, 1950 大きさ 外套長5cm。 特徴 外套膜は丸く袋状で後端丸い。外套幅は外套長の1/2。鰭は丸く耳状。腕には2列の吸盤がありやや疎に並ぶ。吸盤は先端に行くにつれ徐々に小さくなる。雄の左第�J腕が交接腕で、基部10対の吸盤は正常で，先端に向い縮小した4対の吸盤があり，基部寄り腹側には膜がある。触腕の掌部は中庸に拡大し，7〜8列の微小吸盤が並ぶが，背側2列のそれはやや大きい程度で，ことさら大きくはない。反口側は泳膜で縁取られている。体色は濃く，鰭の中央部あたりまで着色している。 付記 本種は前種タイセイヨウボウズイカS. teneraより大成し，腕吸盤が微小であることや，触腕吸盤のうち背側2列が僅かに大きい程度である点で識別されるが，左第�J腕が交接腕化する点では共通である。 Mantle 5cm long, short, saccular, about twice the width. Fins oval. Arms with biserial suckers arranged rather sparsely. Left arm �J in male hectocotylized, with 10 pairs of normal suckers proximally followed by about 4 pairs of suckers of reduced size distally. A wide lateral membrane extends to about 3/4 of the arm on the ventral side. Tentacles with moderate club carrying 7-8 rows of suckers of which the dorsal suckers the largest. Color dark purplish and pigmentation extends over about half of basal fin. This species is separable from S. tenera in its larger size, smaller arm suckers and slightly enlarged suckers of dorsal side of tentacular club. （図A, B．スリナム産） 60．ヒカリダンゴイカ Heteroteuthis (Stephanoteuthis) atlantis Voss, 1958 大きさ 外套長2cm。 特徴 外套は袋状で鈍端で終る。前端背側は僅かに突出するが，腹側葉は著るしく伸長し，漏斗の先端迄達する。鰭は大きく耳状，やゝ斜に着く。頭部には大きい眼があり，外套開口より幅広い。腕は全体に短いが第�K腕が長くいく分平らで，先端の60％には吸盤を全く欠く。他の腕には吸盤列が2列ある。触腕掌部はむしろ柄部より細く，多数列の吸盤がある。外套腔内に5葉に分かれた発光器をもつ。前身紫褐色であるが，外套腹面の卵円形の腹楯部分は色素胞が込む。 付記 本属には他に4種知られるが，本種はその何れの種からも，第�K腕に吸盤を欠くという特異な点で区別される。 Mantle short, saccular, 2cm ML. Ventral lateral lobe extends as far as the tip of the funnel. Fins large, oval, placed slightly obliquely. Arms short except the Arm �K which is long, flattened and lacks of suckers on distal 60％. Other arms with 2 series of suckers. Tentacular club rather slenderer than stalk, with numerous rows of minute suckers. A five-lobed light organ lies in the mantle cavity. Color purplish brown with a dark oval patch on the ventral mantle. This species is easily separable from other members of this genus in having naked distal part of the Arm �K.
