Plate 7　SEPIIDAE コウイカ科−Indo-West Plate インド・西太平洋(3) （図A．アラビア海産；B．アデン海産；C．触腕） 25．サビニコウイカ Sepia (Acanthosepion) savignyi Blainville, 1827 大きさ 外套長13cm 特徴 中型のコウイカ類，外套膜は卵円形で，背側に模様はない。触腕掌部は狭く斜に8列の吸盤が密生し，ほとんど同大であるが，中央列のものが他よりも僅かに大きい。泳膜は狭く掌部基部まで達しない。貝殻はうすく、幅広く、卵円形。コウイカに似て，外円錐の内側に横条面後部を囲む襟状構造がある。棘は小さい。 Medium-sized cuttlefish with non-patterned dorsum. Tentacular club narrow with 8 oblique rows of suckers of which some of central row slightly larger than the others. Swimming membrane narrow and not reached to carpus. Shell oval, thin, with collar-like structure on the inner cone with small spine. （図A．アンダマン海産；B．アデン湾産） 26．ウサギコウイカ＊ Sepia (Aurosepia) arabica Massy, 1916 大きさ 外套長7cm 特徴 外套膜は卵楕円形。鰭の後端は空き棘は出ていない。頭部の眼の後部に耳のような肉質突起がある。触腕掌部は半月形で、同大の小吸盤が5〜6列並ぶ。貝殻は著るしく細長く、幅は長さの15％に満たない。前端は丸く、内円錐はU型で放射線条で囲まれ、外円錐は小さいへら状の翼部で終る。 付記 本種の貝殻は棘を欠く点むしろSepiella属に近く、Jothinayagam (1987)はAurosepiaを新属として創設した。 Small sepiid attaining 7cm ML. Mantle oval, with a considerable interspaces between posterior lobes of fins, but no spine there. Ear-like fleshy projections present behind eyes. Tentacle club with equal sized, small suckers in 5-6 rows. Shell extremely slender, SW less than 15％ SL, with roundish anterior end. Inner cone U-shaped with radiating striations and outer cone small spoon-shaped without spine. Because of unique feature of the shell Jothinayagam (1987) established Aurosepia as the genus. （図A．西オーストラリア産；B．ポートジャクソン産） 27．オーストラリアコウイカ Sepia (Amplisepia) apama Gray, 1849 大きさ 外套長50 cm，体重5 kg 特徴 大型のコウイカ類で背側に縞模様がある。腕の間の傘膜が割合深い。触腕には長い泳膜があり，掌部はコブシメのように半月型。吸盤は5列に並んでいて中央の5個は特に大きい。貝殻は卵円形で，後方がやや細まる。内円錐は外円錐に癒着していて，外円錐は広く張り出し，大型になると棘が腹面から見えなくなる。 生態 岸近くで比較的普通に見られ，産卵期は10〜12月。 Gigantic species among the Sepiidae attaining 50cm ML, over 5 kg in weight. Dorsal mantle with transverse stripes. Interbrachial wed considerably deep. Tentacle with expanded swimming membrane. Club lunate like that of S. latimanus, with 5 rows of suckers of which mesial 3 extremely enlarged. Shell oval, slightly attenuated posteriorly. Inner cone attaches to outer cone. Spine not visible from ventral when grow big. Common in Australia except far north. （図A，B．ワトソン湾産） 28．ミナミハナイカ＊ Sepia (Metasepia) pfefferi Hoyle, 1885 大きさ 外套長8cm 特徴 外套膜は短く、背側には3対のフラップ様の肉襞があり、腹側にV字型の稜が走る。触腕の吸盤は少数で中央の3〜4個は著るしく大きい。背側は左右に斜V型の大きい紫斑があり、鰭は黄色。腕も紫色で縁辺は黄色になる。貝殻は菱形で小さく、ハナイカに見られるような稜角がない。 ML attains 8cm. Mantle short, with 3 pairs of flap-like fleshy papillae and V-shaped ventral fleshy ridge. Tentacle club with small number of suckers of which 3-4 enormous. Oblique V-shaped, large violet patches present on both sides of dorsal mantle. Fins yellow. Arm purplish and margined by yellow. Shell rhombic, small, but wihtout keel-like vertical ridge unlike that in S. (M.) tullbergi.
