Plate 3　SEPIIDAE コウイカ科−Japanese Waters 日本近海(3) （図A，B．土佐湾産；C．触腕） 9．シシイカ Sepia (Doratosepion) peterseni　Appellof, 1886 大きさ 外套長12 cm。 特徴 外套膜は細長く、幅は長さの35〜40％。背側は暗褐色。雄の第�K腕は著るしく延長し、外套長の4倍近くにもなる。中ほどまでは通常の吸盤があるが、それに以遠はフリルのついた保護膜が癒着し合いテープ状となる。触腕掌部は小さく半月型で、90〜110個の吸盤が8列並び、中央の数個がやゝ大きい。貝殻は細いDoratosepion型で幅は長さの1/6。最大幅は前方の1/4あたりにある。 Small sepiid with elongate mantle, MW 35-40% ML. Dorsum dark brownish. Arm �Kof male pronouncedly elongated, nearly 4 times ML, with normal suckers to the middle, but become tape-like distally by fusing frilled protective membranes of both sides. Tentacle club crescent, with 90-110 suckers in 8 rows, with several enlarged suckers in the middle. Shell Doratosepion-type, very slender, SW one-sixth SL, with the widest part situated anterior quarter. Occasionally caught in shallow waters in Sagami Bay and southwestward. （図A，B．土佐湾産；C．触腕） 10．ヒメコウイカ Sepia (Doratosepion) kobiensis　Hoyle, 1885 大きさ 外套長7 cm。 特徴 小型のコウイカ。体形は細く，外套背側には斑紋はなく、中央が濃いめの灰褐色。どの腕もほぼ同長で特に長い腕は無い。触腕の吸盤は60〜80個が斜め8列に並び2〜3列目の数個だけが他よりもいくらか大きい。貝殻はDoratosepion型。内円錐はＶ字状に立ち上っていて殻の半長ぐらいに達している。外円錐の後端は小さな盃状となっていて、棘は鋭く長く、腹側に微弱な畝がある。 生態 小型のイカなので経済的価値は少ないが、日本各地から東南アジアにかけて広く分布していていくつかの地方型に分かれていて、ローカルに利用されている。 Small cuttlefish with brownish gray dorsum. Abundant in shallow waters and locally utilized. （図A．黄海産；B．三陸産；C．触腕） 11．エゾハリイカ Sepia (Doratosepion) andreana　Steenstrup, 1875 大きさ 外套長12 cm。 特徴 中型のコウイカ類で、背側は暗色。鰭は外套膜前縁の僅かに後部から始まる。雄の第�K腕が著るしく延長して、先端は鈍端で終る。先端半分は吸盤が2列になる。雌はいずれの腕もほぼ等長。触腕には吸盤が8列あり中央の4〜5個は縁部のものの2倍大。貝殻は細長く、長さは幅の約6倍。 生態 西太平洋のコウイカ類中最も北方まで分布し、北海道南部に及ぶ。水深50m前後のところから漁られる。 付記 雄第�K腕先端が先細りのものをササキコウイカS. a. sasakii Wakiya & lshikawaといい、この方はしばしば腹面両側に銀色の縦条がある。 Medium-sized cuttlefish with dark grayish dorsum. Arm �K in mature male elongated, terminating in a blunt end. Female with equal-sized arms. Tentacular club with 8 rows of suckers of which central 4-5 twice as large as marginal suckers. Shell Doratosepion-type, SL 6 times SW. This species is distributed to the northernmost range of Indo-Pacific sepiids. （図A，B．土佐湾産；C．触腕） 12．ハクテンコウイカ Sepia (Doratosepion) aureomaculata　Okutani & Horikawa, 1987 大きさ 外套長16cm。 特徴 外套膜は後端に向って急に細まる円錐型。鰭は幅が広く、外套幅の48％。鰭の背側に黄褐色の楕円斑が6個ある。触腕の吸盤は80〜100個で7列に並び中央の3個は特大でそれを囲む4〜5個は中庸大。貝殻幅は長さの19 (♂) 〜23 (♀) ％。中肋は強く、内円錐はＵ字型、外円錐は杯型で腹縁にＶ字型の欠刻がある。 生態 駿河湾〜土佐湾、東シナ海の190〜400mの深所から採集される。 Mantle conical rather than oval. Fins wide, 48% MW, with 6 oval, orange maculations along the base. Tentacle club with 80-100 suckers in 7 rows, among which central 3 extremely large and surrounded by several moderately large ones. Shell of Doratosepion-type, SW 19(♂)-23(♀)% SL, with strong median ridge. Inner cone U-shaped and outer cone cup-shaped, with deep V-shaped incision ventrally. Occasinally trawled from 190-400m, south of Suruga Bay, Tosa Bay, and the East China Sea.
